Did you know that according to GALLUP World Poll, conducted in 2019, approximately 44% of Russian women before 30 years old would prefer to move permanently to another country. 65% of them want to find a husband abroad. That is an impressive number!
Very similar situation is in other Eastern European countries like Ukraine and Belarus. Let’s try to find the main reasons why slavic women are looking for a husband abroad.
1. Russian Women vs Russian Men Ratio
Let’s start with obvious and indisputable facts. Just take a look at demographic situation in Russia:

An average Russian man lives 10 years less than a Russian woman. Also, the total sex ratio is 0.86 male / 1 female (0.87 Belarus and 0.85 Ukraine). Clearly, there are much more women than men in these Slavic countries.
Due to various demographic reasons plenty of females in this region cannot find a man locally. Therefore, they are forced to look for options abroad.
2. First Marriage Ratio & Divorces in Russia / Ukraine / Belarus

Did you know that as of 2017 a domestic violence is no longer a crime in Russia? It’s not a joke. It may sound like a medieval wildness, but when a husband hits his wife at home, it is not even considered as a violence.
Moreover, a Russian legal practice shows that Police doesn’t even want to accept lawsuits from wives against their husbands. It began to grow into beating children as well. And even if for some reason police accepts the claim and decides that a man is guilty, he gets only a minimal fine. And then Russian women continue suffering.

Plenty of girls from the Eastern Europe are raised in quite a traditional families with classical life values. So, they are looking for strong and serious relationships. Typical Ukrainian or Russian woman doesn’t think much about personal career. She thinks more about her present and future family members.

8. Russian Women Worked Abroad
There are various of organizations in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine that help them to find a job abroad. And significant amount of people have an experience of working and living abroad. Each Ukrainian have either a family member or a friend that used to work and live in Europe or the USA.
